The New York-based water organisation confirms every public donation continues to fund water projects directly — private donors cover overhead.
charity: water's twentieth annual report confirms 17.6 million people across 29 countries now have access to clean water through its funded projects, delivered with 143 local implementing partners.
The organisation's "100% Model" — where every public donation goes directly to water projects while a separate group of private donors funds operations — has been independently audited every year since 2007.
Sensors installed on hand pumps and boreholes report water flow data in near real time, publicly viewable on the organisation's project map.
