Médecins Sans Frontières teams have been present in Gaza throughout the conflict, running emergency surgery, burn care, and maternal health services.

Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) teams performed 1,200 surgical procedures across three supported hospitals in Gaza in the first half of 2026 — including trauma, orthopaedic, and paediatric operations.

The organisation is one of the few running maternal health services in the enclave. Its Al-Aqsa maternity unit delivered 3,400 babies in six months, more than half by emergency C-section.

MSF accepts no government funding for its Gaza operations, keeping its independence to speak publicly about what its teams witness.
